Abstract
The designed prototype of the motor that was composed of rhomboidal printed circuit board (PCB) winding. Comparisons between simulated and experimental results were discussed. The simulated back-EMF waveform were illustrated when the motor kept rotating at 12000 rpm. Observing amplitude and period, the experimental result is verified and simulated. Conclusively, a miniature axial-flux spindle motor has been successfully developed and will be used to power disk drives.
