Abstract :
A slotted permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM) is used widely as the driving source for factory and office automation because of its high efficiency and energy density. In this paper, the notch of teeth and skew of permanent magnet are used to reduce the detent force caused by slot-teeth structure. Also, the shape of permanent magnet is optimized to reduce the detent force owing to flux for harmonics components of permanent magnet.
