Abstract :
The real-time mobile video communication requires the balance between performance and complexity. In this paper, we study and analyze the complexity of a software-based AVS encoder, and then we make the performance and complexity co-evaluation. It includes computational complexity and storage requirement analysis of AVS encoder and the Pareto optimization problem of configurable tools of AVS encoder for mobile video communication. The experimental results provide feedback on the realization bottlenecks and indicate that when we select the right configurable tools, AVS encoder will be suitable for application of mobile video communications.
