Abstract :
In the viewpoint of the motor design, the polar anisotropic sintered NdFeB PM is expected to give stronger magnetic fields at the air-gap of motor, and, therefore, a PM motor with higher power density is expected to be designed. In this paper, a 4 pole polar anisotropic sintered NdFeB PM is developed using dry pressing process with pulse magnetizing fields, and applied to the Brushless DC motor design.
