Abstract
In the paper, a transducer with a kind of functional material-magnetic fluid was studied. Based on the fluidity and the paramagnetism of magnetic fluid, the behavior of the magnetic fluid in the magnetic field was introduced. The inductance of the coils in the circuit and the voltage output was presented based on the electromagnetic theory and the ferrohydrodynamics. The results of the experiment which was presented demonstrated output voltage is proportional to the input pressure difference ignoring the magnetoviscous effect of the magnetic fluid, and the theory and the research work of the transducer with magnetic fluid is workable.
