Abstract
The paper investigates a new method for the extraction of spectral trajectories from nonstationary multicomponent narrowband signals. The main idea is to apply statistical filtering so as to track frequency trajectories in the short term Fourier transform. A nonlinear observation model is defined and a special particle filtering algorithm is developed.
