Abstract
The seven-year experience gained in operating a high-voltage electron accelerator used as a part of radiation-technological line for cable and wire irradiation at the Siemens Kabelwerk is discussed. Main attention is given to the lately undertaken updating of the accelerator improving its main parameters and, first of all, its reliability. The advancement of the accelerators intended for operation under production conditions are discussed
