Abstract
Summary form only given. Laser bullets-three-dimensional dissipative localized radiation structures in continuous media with saturable gain and absorption and frequency dispersion-have been predicted analytically. We present results of the first numerical study of interaction and collisions of two laser bullets. It turned out that solution as a toroidal bullet exists only for values of the parameters when the symmetric solution (2D-autosoliton) of the corresponding equation exists. However, our simulations demonstrate weak instability of the toroidal bullets with their decomposing into two fragments.
