Abstract
An ultrasonic scanning system is built for pipeline inspection, using SAFT (Synthetic Aperture Focusing Technology) imaging method. The SAFT imaging technology is investigated. The simulation is done by MATLAB to decide the key parameters. Most system design is accomplished by FPGA, and the parallel processing method is employed to accelerate the image reconstruction time.
