Abstract :
In this paper we present a novel multicast near-Video on Demand (nVoD) scheme. It relies on the intrinsic redundancy of nVoD protocols to provide implicit error correction, by employing content segments themselves as blocks for coding operations. The results in this paper show that our proposal outperforms previous schemes in terms of transmission bandwidth, for the same packet loss probability and response time.
