  • Abstract
Nickel metal hydride batteries are being commercially produced in a variety of sizes and quantities that can now support various applications in the portable power market. Initial offerings of nickel metal hydride products that may have been dismissed as not having the capacities, power requirements and characteristics desirable for some portable power applications should now be reexamined as a viable alternative in those applications. The latest offerings of nickel metal hydride cells and their performance characteristics are demonstrated
