Abstract :
Summary form only given. In this work we report a study of the spectral and temporal characteristics of XUV emission from laser-produced plasmas using an aluminum target with 0.4/spl plusmn/0.25 /spl mu/m layer coating of fullerene (C/sub 60/) or metal-phthalocyanine (CuPc). Our experiment shows that a thin layer of lower absorption at the laser frequency leads to a decrease of metal target reflectivity yielding an essential increase of plasma temperature (T/sub c/) and of the XUV output.
