Abstract
A 1000 S On/5000 S Off beam operation considerably exceeds the state of art of generation beam lines. Consequently, all the components in the beam line coming in contact with direct interception of the beam need active cooling. The major determinant parameters are the beam divergence and the duct architecture. This paper presents the physics design calculations for the neutral beam injector system with reference transmission, pressure profile, reionisation losses and transmission
