Abstract :
In this study, detailed models such as boiler furnace and convective heat exchanger, with the consideration of the requirements of boiler thermodynamic calculation, were developed based on Aspen Plus user model. A boiler system for the thermodynamic calculation of a 600 MW sub-critical boiler was established and results were compared to the reference data. The comparison indicates that the models developed have high accuracy and reliability with the main relative errors less than 5%. The commonality and scalability of the models and system shows great potential in combination of conventional calculation requirements with mature and advanced software platform.
