  • Abstract
    This paper presents a dual-band 4-port diversity antenna for LTE MIMO applications. The antenna element employs a dual-band design covering the 700 MHz band for LTE applications and the 2.4 GHz band for WLAN systems. The presented antenna was implemented on a laptop panel for evaluating the system performances of four-port MIMO configuration in a non-line of sight environment. Correlation coefficient and channel capacity are simulated and measured. Correlation between signals is found between 0.17 and 0.32. The calculated channel capacity from the measured results is about 90% of the ideal case. The experimental results suggest that the presented 4-port MIMO antenna is effective and suitable for the laptop LTE applications.
