Abstract
A postprocessor capable of converting the cutter location data to machine control data is the important interface between the NC programming design and the manufacture. Owing to the fact that multi-axis NC data can only be applied to the specified machine tool configuration and various combinations may be synthesized to multi-axis machine tool configuration, the portability of the NC data is inevitably reduced. This paper aims to integrate the postprocessors for various five-axis machine tools and develops the windows interface converting various multi-axis NC data into different NC code of machine tool directly. The developed module can make the scheduling of the factory more efficiently, increase the productivity of the machine tools and thus play the important role of the automation for multi-axis machining.
