  • Abstract
To get the reliability index of a bus body, material yield strengths, girder cross-section areas, panel thicknesses and external loads are taken as stochastic variables by fundamental theories of structural system reliability. Considering the dynamic load coefficient in the loading conditions of bending and torsion, the method which analyses the reliability of strength and stiffness of the bus body is proposed based on design checking point means of Taylor expansion stochastic finite element (SFEM). Moreover, the relevant derivative of inertia force to stochastic variables is presented and the correlation of failure modes in two load cases is analyzed. The calculation on a bus body shows that this method is feasible for structural reliability analysis of frame structures of vehicles and aircrafts.
