Abstract :
Summary form only given. In this paper, the author has demonstrated a polarization-independent acousto optical tunable filter (AOTF), which operates over a wide tuning range (>110 nm) with high sidelobe suppression (15 dB), for the first time. The structure of a polarization-independent AOTF, integrating two AO mode converters and two 2×2 polarization beam splitters (PBSs) and a 1×2 PBS on X-Y LiNbO3 substrate is shown.
