Abstract
This paper is concerned with the performance improvement of iterative Interleave-Division Multiple-Access (IDMA) scheme based receivers using optimum power allocation algorithm using tree based interleavers (TBI). Based on the optimized power allocation technique, we compare the performance of IDMA receiver with random interleaver, power interleaver, and tree based interleaver. The simulation results demonstrate the superior performance of tree based interleaver in comparison to other interleavers in view of memory requirement and computational complexity along with similar BER performance.
