Abstract
We have developed a closed telephone system using radio waves according to the PHS standards and an Ethernet LAN according to the IEEE802.3 standards. With this system one can be directly contacted anywhere within the company, and the transfer function allows the reception of important telephone calls even when on holiday or just out of the office. We explain the problems of transmitting an audio signal which has to be sent in real time via an Ethernet LAN which cannot guarantee real time transmission, along with some of the solutions. At the same time, we introduce the functions of the closed telephone system
