Abstract
A digital system for the control of iodine stabilized He-Ne lasers used as an optical frequency standard has been developed. The system is more flexible than previously developed systems and automation is incorporated. A new locking method for higher harmonic locking has been developed and included in the system. We call it the third harmonic derivative (3hD) method.
