Abstract :
A measurement system for sound velocity, based on the magnetostrictive delay lines, is presented. Experimental results are reported concerning the dependence of the longitudinal sound velocity in positive magnetostrictive amorphous wires on the tensile stress and bias magnetic field magnitudes.
