Abstract :
Product family improvement is to improve or optimize the existing product family in enterprise. But the key to product family improvement is to comprehend the mapping relationship of customer need (CN) information to function requirement (FR). To solve the mapping problem of CN to FR, CN are expressed in the first place. Then, a mapping approach based on QFD and association rule mining technique is proposed to solve the mapping problem. By doing this, product family improvement can be established on the CN, and utilize the historical transaction data adequately. Finally, the Apriori algorithm is applied to realize the mapping process, and a case study illustrates the proposed approach.
