  • Abstract
    Due to the system complexity (coordination among a large amount of optical sensors and actuators) and huge signal processing demand in the rice color sorter, a distributed control solution based on CAN(Controller Area Network)-Bus is proposed, which interconnects many low level control units. The principle and implementation of a whole electronic system of rice sorter is proposed and discussed. The experimental results show that the developed rice sorter has the characteristics of higher efficiency, reliability, maintainability, and so on.
