Abstract :
The author examines the makeup of the hybrid microelectronics industry to identify potential applications of simulation. A specific (screening) example is used to illustrate the benefits of applying simulation. It is concluded that the application of simulation to hybrid manufacturing would enable the manufacturer to more accurately evaluate capacity. The example described shows how a simple time estimate for job processing can be off by almost 50% due to inaccurate estimates
