Abstract
This paper describes one simulation tool created for data transmission over arbitrary voice channels. The arbitrary voice channel is simulated with various speech codecs with specified error patterns. This type of signal processing with transmission errors makes an arbitrary voice channel nonlinear and non-time invariant. Therefore, standard modulation techniques predominantly tailored for band limited linear diction channels with additive white Gaussian noise are not suitable. As a simulation example we give performance analysis for continuous phase 2FSK and 4FSK.
