Abstract
The authors discuss an ongoing software design and development research program called Microcomputer Intelligence for Technical Training (MITT). In addition, they describe MITT Writer, an authoring environment for building intelligent tutoring systems for technical training for IBM-AT class computers. The project is a stepping stone on the path to practical applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in the future of technical training
