Abstract
In this paper, a vertical group handover scheme is purposed in heterogeneous wireless overlay networks, which seeks to optimize scale of network system by balancing the overall load among all access networks. For this purpose, this paper describes novel vertical group handover algorithm. The algorithm uses dynamic router manager to optimize the load over network by dynamically activating mobility agents and to reduce the amount of signaling overheads. Through detailed simulations, it is shown that our proposed algorithm performs better as the density of network increases and balances load over network for optimize utilization of resources.
