  • Abstract
    Summary form only given. A microchip cavity including a half-monolithic Nd:YAG/KNbO/sub 3/ chip and a second KNbO/sub 3/ crystal is presented. An output power up to 30 mW at 473 nm pumped by a single stripe, and 1 W at 808 nm diode was achieved. The laser can be operated with either single or multi longitudinal modes by rotating the second frequency doubler to 0/spl deg/ or 90/spl deg/ against the first one. The cw output noise is less than 2% for both cases.
