Abstract :
Traffic accidents or fires in highway tunnels were increased in the last decade. How to reduce the accidents and its consequent harms? The computer aided emergency management system deployed within the surveillance and control system for highway tunnels, was brought forward. The system integrated functions of other subsystems, and formed a strong comprehensive ability to automatically aid emergency management. The definition about functions of the system was given, and the principles of the system were designed and discussed. Then the methods and technologies applied to realize the system were demonstrated. Finally, the standard architecture of the system was colligated.
