Abstract :
A direct-sequence CDMA (DS-CDMA) mobile radio personal communication system operating over an indoor, Rician fading channel employing differential phase shift keying (DPSK) modulation with different chip waveforms is investigated. The performance evaluation in terms of bit error probability considers a star network architecture with a variety of spreading chip waveforms. The computation results show that non-rectangular chip waveforms have more desirable, lower intersymbol interference and multiple-access interference, rendering a lower bit error rate indoor communication system
