Abstract
Summary form only given. With the use of quasiphase matching, the principle of self-frequency doubled lasers can be extended to lasers exhibiting multiple self-frequency conversion processes simultaneously. We have obtained continuous-wave multiple simultaneous visible laser emission by using an aperiodic distribution of domain reversals in LiNbO/sub 3/ crystals containing rare earth laser active ions.
