  • Abstract
In this presentation it is discussed why a recording over 2000 kfci can not be attained from the point of view of thermal fluctuation during a recording process, which has been usually thought to be negligibly small. But the calculated results suggested that a relatively large reversed field is applied to the preceding recorded bits, the moment the head field reversed. Especially, the longitudinal component of a head field remarkably reduced the energy barrier.
