Abstract :
The growth of (001)-textured FePt films were prepared by an electron beam evaporation method. CoPt3 was used as the buffer layers for growing the films. The polar Kerr hysteresis loops of the films were obtained. Exchange coupling between the buffer layer and the FePt layer is observed in the case of 2.0 and 3.0 nm thick CoPt3.
