Abstract :
Providing fast wireless high-speed Internet access as well as primary line Voice over IP telephone service cost effectively and profitably, to as few as 25 subscribers located in rural areas, is an exercise of engineering of no small feat. Still, this is something the authors have achieved for numerous customers by namely leveraging the IEEE 802 Ethernet standards, leading to commercial success in rural Canada and believed to be reproducible throughout the world.
