Abstract :
A wireless sensor network refers to a group of sensors, or nodes/bluetooth, linked by a wireless medium to perform distributed sensing tasks. Traditional routing protocols developed for wireless ad hoc networks cannot be used for sensor. This is because conventional protocols focus on avoiding congestion or maintaining connectivity when faced with mobility and not on the limited energy supply. We develop a simulation model in order to establish a comparison between the following protocols in term of packet loss with different numbers of sources for Sensor Protocols for Information via Negotiation (SPIN), Directed Diffusion (DD) and Low-Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH).
