Abstract
The constant beam-width beam-former (CBB) based on linear least square method (LLSM) first decomposes the wideband signal into narrowband signals of different center frequency, then computes the amplitude-phase weighting of different frequency by LLSM according to the expected beam shape. This method is easy to be carried out into reality, and can restrict both the amplitude and phase by the weightings of different frequency points in frequency domain, thus to ensure the continuity of the signal in time domain. Finally, computer simulation was made for the method, and the result was correct.
