Abstract
This paper aims to investigate the dependence of the exchange bias field and coercivity of magnetic multilayers with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy on the stack number N. At small N, results indicate that the enhancement of coercivity due to exchange bias is not dominant. However, for large N, the coercivity is affected by the exchange bias layer. A saturated exchange bias field is also observed for small N. These results show that the number of stack N is a good control parameter for wide range of coercivity variations, which are important for MRAM applications.
