Abstract :
An internal mobile handset antenna capable of covering nine mobile communication bands is presented. The proposed design generates five resonant modes covering nine bands of the wireless standards, LTE700 / GSM850 /GSM900 / GPS (1575.42 L1 band) / GSM1800 /GSM1900 / UMTS / LTE2300 / LTE2500. The antenna consists of asymmetric T-shape monopole that couple feeds loop strip shorted to the ground plane. In comparison with existing antennas a wide impedance bandwidth (BW) for the proposed structure is achieved. This paper discusses details of the proposed antenna parameters, operating principle and performance.
