Abstract :
A miniature actuator for loudspeaker has been designed, modelled and built for analysis. A 2 times 2 and a 9 times 2 array of microactuators were developed for experimentation. Results show that the pressure responses from a 2 times 2 and a 9 times 2 matrix loudspeaker improves the bass response for a matrix loudspeaker. A reasonable agreement has been obtained between the measured data and the results predicted by simulation.
