  • Abstract
    Single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA), which combines single carrier modulation with frequency domain equalization, is a promising transmission technique in 3GPP LTE. In this paper, for SC-FDMA signals, the issue of multiuser interference (MUI) suppression is investigated in interleaved FDMA (IFDMA) system. Under this system, carrier frequency offset (CFO) underlines the orthogonality between the subcarriers and give rise to MUI among users. The MUI is then analyzed and minimum mean square error (MMSE) frequency domain equalizer (FDE) receiver, which suppresses both MUI and AWGN noise, is developed and simulated. Simulation results show that MUI MMSE FDE receiver can significantly improve the performance of conventional MMSE FDE receiver.
