Abstract :
In this paper we study two kinds of coupled map lattices (CML) based on the logistic map and the piecewise linear map as spread spectrum code generators. We show that these systems have not the same behaviour in terms of synchronization and correlation properties of the generated sequences. We also analyze the advantages of the CML systems compared to the one dimensional maps and we show that in addition to the synchronization advantage, they can generate sequences with improved correlation properties.
