Abstract :
When the case of magnetic saturation of high-frequency transformer occurs in switching power supply, the effect to efficiency and output power as well as the harm to power switch tube are analyzed. A method of low-voltage, low-frequency square wave signal driving the primary coil of high-frequency transformer is introduced. By observing the current waveform of coil with oscilloscope and some following simple calculation, high-frequency magnetic transformer saturation current value can be obtained. The principle, related circuit, specific method, an example and result analysis of measuring are presented.
