Abstract :
Social services IT solutions and information sharing in large scale can be developed based on the requirements of social care services and their clients and healthcare initiatives. The national project for social services information technology in Finland was carried out from 2007 to 2011 to support the provision and integration of social services. As a part of this project a service-based reference architecture of 44 IT services for supporting national information sharing and structured documentation was specified. The specified services aim to enable advances in the usage of IT in social care and support authorized information sharing and preservation on a national scale.
