Abstract
Summary form only. We report as a proof-of-principle experiment, on the characterization of an all-optical beam deflector performed in bacteriorhodopsin biological material. An argon pumped cw dye laser, operating at 640 nm, delivering a Gaussian beam with up to 43 mW power was used as the pump beam.
