  • Abstract
    A novel proposal is made in this paper towards minimization of starting torque pulsations of ac voltage controller fed induction motor drive. An optimization model of the problem is presented and optimum SCR firing angle is identified through genetic algorithm (GA). Computed results on two different induction motors show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
