  • Abstract
A systematic approach to IC development is presented with a life cycle model. The new product development process is broken down into three major phases and their constituent sub-phases. Key decision check points throughout the development process are identified. The responsibility and skill set for IC development project management are discussed. A case study is used to illustrate interaction between two projects with partial shared resources. Output of a management software tool is used to show how a project is planned, scheduled, and managed
