Abstract
Summary form only given. We pursue investigations on new ZnAgSe mixed crystals. We perform calculation of nonlinear optical susceptibilities in ZnAgSe solid alloys, using the ab initio norm-conserving pseudopotential (NCPP) and linear combination of atomic orbitals (LCAO) methods. Comparison between the calculated and experimental data obtained from the photo-induced second harmonic generation (PISHG), show a good agreement with our theoretical approach. We demonstrate that the imaginary part of the fourth rank optical susceptibility depends on the concentration of the free carriers.
