Abstract

Summary form only given. The present paper is devoted to the research of spectral and luminescence properties of CaGd/sub 4/Si/sub 3/O/sub 13/:Er,Ce (CGS:Er,Ce) laser crystals and calculation of their characteristics. Stark structure of /sup 4/I/sub 13/2/ and /sup 4/I/sub 15/2/ laser levels of the erbium ion has been calculated taking into account the results of low temperature measurements of absorption spectra and CGS:Er luminescence.
