  • Abstract
Radio mobile networks know a great evolution in services deployment and design. The growth of cellular networks is essentially due to the emergence of new multimedia services and applications that users are looking for. Deployment of multimedia services takes a lot of time, needs many types of equipment, servers and a large bandwidth. The operators have to follow subscriberspsila demands and offer their services following their movements. An optimal radio network with a specified level of quality of service is provided by an accurate traffic characterization and precise mobile userspsila behaviour models. The aim of this paper is to develop a traffic and mobility models for 3rd and 4th generations of networks where deployment of multimedia services must follow userspsila profiles and applications installation must change with their location. The paper also develops analysis techniques to extract the relevant parameters from simulation. These measurements can help operators to reconfigure dynamically their networks and follow userspsila movements.
